They consist of two "themes"; Members Nights & Speakers Nights. All are welcome to attend the meetings. On Members Nights, various topics of interest and knowledge are discussed and presented by MAS members including Introduction to Astronomy, Observing Techniques, The Sky Tonight and other related information.
Invited guests participate in our Speakers Nights. These guests represent many different areas of the Astronomy and Space Sciences fields. The location for our meetings is the University of Toronto at Mississauga. Meetings will be held in the room SE2082 located in the South Building. Parking is $5 - tickets are available from machines which accept credit cards or cash. Meeting start time: 8:00 pm Map to the meeting location: UTM MAP

Night Speaker: Kerry-Ann Lecky Hepburn
Title:
Adventures in Astrophotography An accomplished astro-photographer, Kerry-Ann will share her experiences in getting started in photographing the heavens. She will describe things that she has learned and areas where she has improved her techniques along the way.

Kerry's
interest
in
astronomy
started
from a
fairly
young
age.
After
getting
her
first
telescope
at the
age of
11 and
then her
first
serious
film
camera
as a
teenager
she
began to
think of
the
possibilities
of
astrophotography.
Over the
course
of more
than 15
years
she
dabbled
in it
but it
wasn’t
until
the
beginning
of 2007
that she
started
to make
some
huge
leaps in
the
hobby.
While
enjoying
this
intensive
hobby,
Kerry
lives in
Grimsby
with her
husband
and two
little
girls.
She
works at
The
Weather
Network
as a
senior
meteorologist.
